Become a moderator
Help keep the songbook clean, reliable and welcoming.
Moderators watch over the quality of the shared songbook and support the community. Here’s what the role involves, and how to apply.
What a moderator does
- Review newly submitted songs and correction requests: approve, adjust or decline before they enter the songbook.
- Handle musicians’ reports (wrong chords or lyrics, duplicates) and follow up on them.
- Correct and import songs: chords, lyrics, categories and ChordPro formatting.
- Create and host campfires (jam sessions) and help the community find its way around.
A moderator does not permanently delete content, does not manage accounts or roles, and has no access to the audit log — those actions stay with administrators.
Who can apply
The role suits anyone comfortable with chords and the songbook, careful and kind, willing to give a little time regularly. An account on the site is required to receive the role.
