1. Acceptance

By creating an account on “Campfire Songbook”, you accept these terms and the privacy policy below. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

“Campfire Songbook” lets you sing together around a “campfire”: synchronized lyrics and chords. Creating a campfire requires an account; guests join a campfire with an invite code and a first name, without an account.

You only submit content you have the right to share (public domain, your own work, or authorized). Lyrics and scores may be protected by copyright. Any takedown request can be sent to [contact email]; we promptly remove content flagged in good faith.

5. Personal data (Law 25 — Quebec)

Data processed:

Purposes: provide the service, secure accounts, prevent abuse. No resale, no advertising, no third-party trackers. The anti-bot check (Mosparo) is self-hosted with no third-party cookie.

Retention: expirable data (logs, presence, ephemeral campfires) is deleted after at most 1 year. An account inactive for 2 years is deleted (email notice 30 days before). You can request deletion of your account at any time.

Your rights: access, correction, deletion and portability of your data. Write to [contact email]. You may also file a complaint with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

6. Cookies and local storage

A session cookie is used for login and security (CSRF); a cookie also stores your language. Preferences (text size, line following, a campfire presence token) are kept in your browser (localStorage). No advertising tracker.

7. Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”, with no availability guarantee. We are not responsible for content submitted by users.

8. Changes

These terms may change; the update date above prevails. Significant changes will be announced.
