TIP: Because of Ed’s tendency to run verse and chorus together, there are two places -- between the 1st and 2nd stanza after “(D) mee-e-e,” and between the 4th and 5th after “(D) own-o-own” -- where you’ll move immediately from one to the next. These will have a comma at the end of the stanza to give you a heads up. Also notice for both, the words in the first line of the next stanza are sung quickly.
TIP: After “ . . . perfect tonight” there will be a step-down indicated by chords with hyphens between them (D) - (Em) - (D) - (C). Don’t pause at the trailing (G), keep the strumming pattern going and play all of these chords within the next two bars.
