The editor icons

Import and convert

• Convert the whole textPasted a song with the chords written above the lyrics? Convert the whole body at once to the editor format, with chords attached to the right syllables.
• Convert the selectionSame conversion, but only on the passage you selected — handy to redo just one verse.

Chords

• Add a chordPlace the cursor in the lyrics then click: a small dialog lets you type the chord (e.g. Am, G7), inserted right above the syllable.
• Text to chordSelect text you already typed and turn it into a chord, without retyping it.
• Nudge leftMove the selected chord one character to the left to line it up exactly on the right syllable.
• Nudge rightMove the selected chord one character to the right.
• Delete the chordRemove the selected chord without touching the lyrics.

Song structure

• VerseWrap the selected passage as a verse, to give the song a clear structure.
• ChorusWrap the selected passage as a chorus: it stands out on screen and can be recalled later.
• Repeat the chorusInsert a "Chorus" marker at the cursor to repeat the chorus without rewriting it.
• CommentAdd a note (e.g. "softly", "x2", "intro") shown set apart, and not sung.
• StrummingInsert a strumming pattern (down / up) to show the rhythm.

Diagrams and grids

• TabWrap the selected passage as a tab, shown in a fixed-width font (intro, riff...). Only the first line may contain ChordPro chords such as [G]. These chords stay in the original key when the song is transposed.
• Chord fingeringInsert the fingering diagram — where to put your fingers on the neck — for a given chord.
• All fingeringsAdd the fingering diagrams of every chord used in the song, all at once.
• Copy the chord gridCopy the chord sequence of a line to reuse it elsewhere.
• Paste the chord gridPaste the copied chord grid onto the selected line(s) — perfect when the same progression comes back.

History

• UndoStep back one action if you made a mistake.
