Share a private song
A song that is still private can be read by the people you choose, with a link and an access code, without creating a campfire and without making it public. You stay in control: duration, code, link, everything can be changed or cut off in one click.
Open sharing
In “My songs”, click “🔗 Share” on a draft’s row: the “Private sharing” panel opens in a window. You’ll also find it in the song’s editor, below the details (title, key, categories). Only a saved song that is still private can be shared this way.

The sharing panel, below the song details. Create the link
Pick how long it stays “Valid for” — 30 days, 90 days, 180 days (the default) or 1 year — then click “Create the share link”. A link and a six-character “Access code” appear; the code avoids look-alike characters such as 0 and O.
Send the link and the code
“Copy link and code” copies a short text ready to send: the title, the link and the code. The safest is to send the code separately (in person, by text): a link forwarded by mistake is not enough to open the song. Prefer your own code? Replace it (at least 4 letters or digits), then click “Save”.
What the other person sees
The link opens a page that asks for the code, no account needed; capitals, spaces and hyphens don’t matter. Once the right code is entered with “Open the song”, the device remembers it for 30 days. The song shows with the whole reading bar — key, text size, diagrams, auto-scroll — but no rating, comment or adding to a playlist.

What the person who gets the link sees. Extend, change or cut off
“Save” saves the code and restarts the validity from today; it also reactivates an expired link, with the same link and the same code. Changing the code makes everyone enter the new one. “Regenerate” creates a new link and a new code: the old link stops working right away. “Stop sharing” cuts off sharing for everyone.
What if the song becomes public?
Once your song is approved and published, the share link simply leads to its public page. In “My songs”, the “🔗 Shared” badge marks the songs whose link is active.
Discreet: the shared page isn’t listed by search engines, and ten wrong codes within an hour block further attempts. Moderators can see that a song is shared, never its code.
